Premed Projects offers residential summer camps, designed for students from all over the world who are interested in medicine. Students join us from all over the world to take part in our summer camps and we also offer online work experience projects for students who dream of careers in healthcare.

Our free online work experience weekend is for any student interested in healthcare to help provide some work experience that you can use in your applications and interviews. All students receive a signed certificate from our doctors for taking part.

Saturday 14th March 2026 – Surgery Work Experience Day – 12pm – 2pm GMT

This interactive day is delivered by practising surgeons & current medical students and is designed to give students aged between 14-18 a meaningful insight into careers in medicine and surgery.

Students join a patient on their journey from initial presentation to diagnosis and treatment. The doctors will guide you through how they would conduct a surgical consultation, interpret signs and manage patients.

By the end of this day, you will have experienced a healthcare setting from the perspective of a patient and a surgeon.

You will learn:

A day in the life of a surgeon

Anatomical terminology and training

Surgical History taking interactive workshop

How to manage Surgical Emergencies

Learn practical skills to use in your applications to university

Use your knowledge of surgery cases to understand symptoms and signs

Work through surgical case histories and learn how to think like a doctor

Sunday 15th March 2026 – Medical Ethics Day – 12pm – 2pm GMT

During the session our doctors will explain why its vital to understand medical ethics when applying to med school and how to understand moral dilemmas and ethical questions doctors face everyday.

It’s highly likely that you’ll be asked ethics questions designed to test your understanding of medical ethics so it’s really important you understand some of the questions you will face at medical school interviews.
